Jose Villa’s Fine Art Wedding Photography has been featured in numerous publications around the World including Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides Magazine, Town & Country Weddings, Instyle Weddings,   C Weddings Magazine, Brides Australia, Brides Brazil, Brides China, Vogue China and PDN’s Wedding Issue. The southern California-based Villa was recently named one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world by American Photo. His book, Fine Art Wedding Photography: How to Capture Images with Style for the Modern Bride was published in March 2011.

I am a fine art wedding photographer. My approach applies fine art photography to the living, breathing, fast-moving phenomenon that is a wedding. Yes, I do some documentary photography, you need to capture the important moments at a wedding, but I also compose and direct. For me, it is all about making something beautiful, even if I have to insert myself into the situation. Ultimately, my goal is to craft vibrant, energetic, fine art images that are as unique as the people in the photographs.
